GuestAlong with revealing the WoW Classic release date, Blizzard also listed plans for both a beta and stress test of the game. Players who opt-in for the testing on their account manager page and have an active subscription will be randomly selected for the beta starting May 15. Then the developer will have three stress tests where players can log in to play the game for a short period of time on the following dates:
Where can I watch BlizzConline? In previous years, fans would need a virtual ticket to watch the stream of the event. Luckily, since there’s no in-person convention, Blizzard has made the entire event free to watch. The livestream will be available on GameSpot’s channel on YouTube.Â
As for the next game in the franchise, Diablo 4, the developer has already shown off some of the game and has been conducting an alpha test since it was announced at BlizzCon 2019. This year, expect more details about the game’s classes and maybe a release date.Â
To me, the real stand-out is the writing. It’s a story-driven RPG, and it involves a lot of reading. Basically, anything outside of walking from point A to point B is conveyed to you through the writing. It can be confusing at first, but you get the hang of it quickly. I didn’t even mind having to read that much — the writing is just so good that it made me angry that I didn’t write it myself. I’m simultaneously jealous and in awe of the brains that came up with this. It’s easily the best writing in a game that I’ve played in a long, long time, and without a doubt, the best game I played all year.Â
As the popular MMORPG saw millions of players leave over the years, WoW fans began creating their own private servers offering the “classic” WoW experience that didn’t include any of the multiple expansions or updates over the course of the game’s lifetime.
WoW Classic is a “vanilla” version of the once super popular MMORPG launching on Aug. 27. Players will be able to play the 1.12 version of the game known as the “Drums of War” update. Before the game goes live there will be both beta and stress tests.
When it finally came out last January, my fear that it’d disappoint was washed away by joy at how much fun it was … before that was replaced by the sheer terror caused by the pursuing me throughout the Raccoon City Police Department. This familiar environment that I’d explored endlessly in felt fresh and scary again. Even the zombies seemed completely different, lurching about unpredictably and requiring a whole lot of shots to take down.

Called Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet, the new show will star McElhenney as Ian Grimm, the head of a game studio who has “an ego the size of a city bus.” In the show, the studio is about to release an expansion to its popular MMORPG, Mythic Quest.
I almost never play games more than once. I played Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice through four times. It’s just absolutely brilliant. I’m a fan of the From Software games like Dark Souls in general, but Sekiro mixes up the formula by focusing more on action than deep role-playing mechanics. In the process, the company redefined combat to fit a samurai/shinobi style. It’s breathtaking and so exhilarating. Sekiro has the best close-quarters combat in any game I’ve ever experienced, and I expect other games to be mimicking this for years.Â
On the other hand, WoW Classic — a re-creation of the MMORPG circa 2006 — will receive a “new” expansion. Burning Crusade first came out in 2007, and it will bring the same content to WoW Classic. This includes the Blood Elf and Draenei races, the area called Outland and more content according to leaked info.Â

After a tumultuous few years coming off of Quantum Break (which I personally think is better than most people give it credit for), Remedy Entertainment is back with one of its strongest games to date. Control takes the best of what we’ve seen from this Finnish studio and compiles it into an adventure that’s equal parts spooky and engaging. The lessons learned from Quantum Break’s combat are extended, while the mood and atmosphere that elevated Alan Wake to such great heights are out in full force this time around.Â
